![]() Inkscape’s main goal is to create a powerful and convenient drawing tool fully compliant with XML, SVG, and CSS standards. I use both and I'm looking for a vector format that can be opened and saved o both. It imports formats such as JPEG, PNG, TIFF, and others and exports PNG as well as multiple vector-based formats. I found a converter on Inkscape's site but it doesn't seem to do them either. I can do it with a PDF but a lot of my templates have several layers and PDFs won't do them. I've tried several ways to export but Xara's SVG doesn't work with Inkscape that I can see, I've tried WMF, EPS, etc with no success. tools easily match up to Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW and Xara Xtreme. My ultimate goal is to never use XX again. Inkscape also supports Creative Commons meta-data, node editing, layers, complex path operations, bitmap tracing, text-on-path, flowed text, direct XML editing, and more. Many vector drawing tools generate SVG content: GIMP, GIMPShop, Adobe Illus- trator, Corel's Xara Xtreme for Linux, as well as other Corel products. Inkscape is vector graphics software for creating icons, illustrations, logos. To do so, do File Save a Copy, and select Portable. Supported SVG features include shapes, paths, text, markers, clones, alpha blending, transforms, gradients, patterns, and grouping. The PDF file format is a vector format that can also hold raster images. Inkscape is an Open Source vector graphics editor, with capabilities similar to Illustrator, Freehand, CorelDraw, or Xara X using the W3C standard Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) file format. ![]()
